Client Support – Website and Technical

This is a full time, salaried position based in our Orono office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with technical challenges in managing their website, analytics, and various third party services that their website depends upon

  • Be available to connect with our clients as your top responsibility

  • Answer the phone during scheduled hours

  • Watch for new support requests in our support system

  • Strengthen relationships with existing clients by providing personal, simple, and effective guidance on the phone and in electronic communications

  • Once you have a strong familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) you’ll assist in screen-sharing based client trainings on new websites.  In time, you will handle some training on your own.

  • Quality Assurance of new websites before training and launch

  • Occasional outbound support

  • Small, technical projects by assignment

  • Communication with other teams when client’s needs extend into changes or work requests

  • Enter the support team rotation for after hours, on-call support

Job Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers about technical issues in an easy to understand manner

  • Adaptability – able to respond to changing priorities as well as quickly learn and work with new technologies

  • An excellent listener

  • A strong written and verbal communicator

  • Significant experience with Internet technologies including content management systems, HTML, email, website analytics, and social networking

  • Comfort talking with clients on the phone and in email and can develop a rapport with limited face-to-face interaction

Education Requirements

Significant field experience in a comparable position.
